Bella Dose
The Fillmore September 9th, 2023

An expansive line clad in rhinestones and feathers decorated the outside of The Fillmore as women from across the city stood in excitement for the night to begin. As soon as the clock struck 9 pm, the doors of The Fillmore transformed from a mere entryway of a concert hall into a portal to an alternate universe where women and reggaeton are king.
With the scent of cherry-flavored smoke lingering in the air and pink glow bracelets lighting the way, we squeezed our way through the mass of photo opportunity installations in the lobby and into the back room waiting for Bella Dose to take the stage.
The railings quickly became littered with abandoned heels that had been replaced by a sea of pink flip flops, marking the assurance that everyone would be dancing that night and when Bella Dose took the stage the crowd erupted. They (Bella Dose) grabbed hold of the audience opening with a passion filled cover of “Say My Name” (Destiny’s Child) that was paired with a flawless dance routine that would put some of the biggest pop names to shame. Almost immediately following, they sang energy packed original song “Mirame,” one of their many Spanish language songs in their discography that awards them to be billed as the proclaimed “world's first bilingual girl-group.”
The set continued in a game of harmonious back and forth between covers and Bella Dose originals that were sung to a mirage of shirts being launched into the audience, national flags of the members being waved, and smoke being torpedoed off the stage. Not a moment in the performance went by without delivering on the promise of a full fledged pop production. As the set wound down, Bella Dose closed out with their newest single “FFIL” an acronym for f*ck falling in love. In solidarity to heartbreaks past and present, the crowd threw middle fingers up to the sky and swayed.
Back in 2017 during a stop in Miami, Vicky Curiel of International Hub Records was on a quest to create a new splash in the ever-growing Latin pop scene. Holding a vision of creating “L-pop's' ' (Latin Pop) first bilingual girl group, Curiel found Brianna Leah Cureial, Melany Riveria, Thais Rodriguez, and Jenni Hernandez marking the birth of Bella Dose. The quartet’s discography shows a polished blend of Latin Pop, Dance, Reggaeton, and dashes of R&B that they pair with captivating synchronous dance numbers during their live performances. Over years of creating consistent content on social media platforms such as Tik Tok, they have amassed a large and loyal following and we can only expect them to keep growing.
Bella Dose is set to release their new album L-pop on September 15th, 2023.
